Shit Creek Survivor

The fact that anyone can look at him and see only a horse blows my mind. He is my soulmate. There is no doubt in my mind we were meant to cross paths.

I never meant to fall in love with someone else’s horse, but the first time I secretly took him into the arena for groundwork it happened almost instantly. We had a bond that was undeniable by anyone who came to see it- including his owner.

After two tragic years of loss, pain, trauma, addiction, and loneliness, somehow this horse started to fill all of the empty spaces in my heart with love, purpose, and confidence. Whoever thinks a soulmate has to be human is very wrong. Our story proves that. He was absolutely meant to be the friend I needed to help me save my own life, and I am so blessed to have that.
